Women And Our Weight

It doesn’t seem to matter what our age or station in life, we seem to continually be concerned about what we look like; the consequence of this – a constant battle over our weight.  Similar to women, eating disorders come in all shapes and sizes.  With Anorexia we starve ourselves.  With Bulimia we binge and purge. With overeating, food is our “comfort.”  Whether we are underweight, overweight, or appear to be at a “healthy weight” but have an unhealthy relationship with food, the best thing we can do for ourselves is to befriend our body.  We are so often our own and each other's worst enemy!  If we’re not critical of ourselves, we are sizing up (literally) someone else.  Why is this?

REMEMBER…

We are special.
We are beautiful.
We are individual.
We are wonderfully created works of art!
